Arthur Bertram Modell ist ein US-amerikanischer Geschäftsmann, Geschäftsmann und Inhaber der National Rugby League. Er besaß 35 Jahre lang das Franchise Cleveland Browns und gründete das Franchise Baltimore Ravens, das er neun Jahre lang besaß. 1961 übernahm Modell die Kontrolle über das Browns-Franchise und war eine Schlüsselfigur bei der Förderung der NFL und war zunächst in Cleveland für seine aktive Rolle in der Community und seine Bemühungen, das Team zu verbessern, berühmt. Während seiner Amtszeit unternahm er jedoch einige umstrittene Schritte, darunter die Entlassung von Paul Brown, dem ersten Trainer des Franchise mit dem gleichen Namen. 1995 sah sich Modell in Cleveland mit weit verbreiteter Verachtung konfrontiert, als er versuchte, die Browns nach Baltimore zu verlegen. Während der Name Browns schließlich in Cleveland bleiben konnte, behielt Modell die Verträge aller Browns-Mitarbeiter und verlegte das Franchise nach Baltimore, wodurch Raven 1996 als nominelle Expansionsgruppe gegründet wurde.
