Generalleutnant Choummaly Sayasone ist ein laotischer Politiker, der von 2006 bis 2016 als Generalsekretär der Revolutionären Volkspartei von Laos und Präsident von Laos war. LPRP-Kongress im Januar 2016 beantragte er keine Wiederwahl in das LPRP-Zentralkomitee, was darauf hindeutet, dass er im Ruhestand sei.
