Dies führte dazu, dass sie als Teenager an Paramount Pictures teilnahm, wo sie mehr als ein Dutzend Spielfilme drehte . Nachdem sie Paramount verlassen hatte, unterzeichnete sie Verträge mit verschiedenen Filmfirmen, in denen sie unter anderem in ihrem ersten Horrorfilm mitspielte, insbesondere in The Bowery und Viva Villa, beide mit Wallace Beery.
