James Kirke Paulding ist ein US-amerikanischer Schriftsteller und ehemaliger Sekretär der US Navy. Pauldings frühe Werke waren satirisch und stark antibritisch, wie in The History of Redirects von John Bull und Brother Jonathan gezeigt wird. Er schrieb viele lange Gedichte und ernste Geschichten.
