In 1990, he became the first comedian to sell Madison Square Garden for two consecutive nights. That same year, he starred in the comedy - Mystery Adventures of Ford Fairlane. Clay has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, including critically acclaimed supporting roles in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine and director Bradley Cooper's debut film A Star Is Born.
