Donald Francis Shula is an American defenseman and football coach who was the head coach of the National Football League from 1963 to 1995. Head coach of the Miami Dolphins for most of his career, Shula is the head coach NFL winner, with 347 career wins and 328 regular season wins. He's in his first head coaching position with the Baltimore Colts, which he led for seven years and spent his next 26 with Miami. Shula has only had two losing seasons in 33 years as a head coach and led the Dolphins to back-to-back Super Bowl titles in Super Bowl VII and Super Bowl VIII. His first Super Bowl title in 1972 was the only perfect season in NFL history. Shula was the first head coach to appear in six Super Bowl games, five with the Dolphins and one with the Colts. His six Super Bowl appearances ranked second among head coaches and he had the most Super Bowl losses with four.
