Pendulum is an Australian drum and bass group formed in 2002. Pendulum was originally founded in the city of Perth, Western Australia, by Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul "El Hornet" Harding. The group then expanded to include members Ben Mount, Peredur ap Gwynedd and KJ Sawka. Members Swire and McGrillen also formed the electronic duo Knife Party. The band attracts attention with special sounds, mixing electronic music with hard rock and showing off many genres. In 2003, Swire, McGrillen and Harding moved to the UK. His first studio album, Hold Your Color, was released in 2005 with a positive reception from critics. While Hold Your Color is mostly drums and bass, subsequent albums In Silico and Immersion have seen experimentation with genres like industrial rock and electronic rock.
