John F. Revolta is an American professional golfer who competed at the PGA Tour in the 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s. He won a major title, the 1935 PGA Championship, and won. 18 career victories in touring. Born in St. Mary's. Louis, Missouri, the Revolta family moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 1923 when he was only 12 years old. He learned the game as a caddy at a public training ground in Oshkosh and won the State Caddy Championship at the age of 14. Like most professional golfers of his generation, Revolta started his career as a professional club. He worked at the Swan Lake Country Club in Portage in 1930, the Chippewa Elks Golf Club in 1931, the Riverside Country Club in Menominee, Michigan 1932–1933, and the Tripoli Country Club in Milwaukee 1934–1936. He won the Wisconsin State Open four times over a six-year span; he did not qualify for two years while working in Michigan. Revolta was a member of the PGA Tour from 1935 to 1952. Revolta's best year as a professional tour was 1935, when he won 5 tournaments and led the PGA Tour monetization list.
