Joseph Michael Straczynski is an American screenwriter, producer, film and television director and comic author. He is the founder of Studio JMS and is best known as the author of the sci-fi television series Babylon 5 and its Crusades, as well as the Jeremiah and Sense8 series. Straczynski wrote the dramatic drama Changeling and co-wrote the martial arts thriller Ninja Assassin, is a lead author of Marvel's Thor, as well as the horror film Underworld: Awakening and the thriller World War Z. From 2001 to 2007, Straczynski wrote Marvel Comics' The Amazing Spider-Man, followed by Thor and Fantastic Four. He is also the author of the Superman: Earth One graphic novel trilogy, and he has written Superman, Wonder Woman, and Before Watchmen for DC Comics.
