Sanjeev Bhaskar, OBE is an English comedian, actor and TV presenter best known for his work in the BBC sketch comedy series Two Goodness Gracious Me and star of the sitcom. The Kumars at No.42. He also appeared and starred in a documentary series titled India with Sanjeev Bhaskar, in which he traveled to India and visited his ancestral homeland in present-day Pakistan. Bhaskar's most impressive roles include leading role Doctor Prem Sharma in The Indian Doctor and lead role DI Sunny Khan in Unforgotten. Bhaskar is currently the Rector of the University of Sussex. In 2003, he was ranked by The Observer magazine in the list of the 50 funniest actions in British comedy. In 2006, Bhaskar was awarded the title OBE - Outstanding Officer of the British Imperial Army.
