Susan Hanson is an English actress who played Diane Lawton in the British soap opera Crossroad episode between 1965 and 1987, when her character was controversially murdered. She also had a short role in the movie Catch Us If You Can with The Dave Clark Five. After his brief marriage to BBC Radio 1's DJ Tommy Vance in the 1960s, Hanson married musician Carl Wayne in 1974; they have one son, Jack. After leaving Carrefour, she appeared in the movie Out of Order and then went unnoticed until her husband died of cancer in 2004. A few years later, she returned to the UK television screen as the mother of character Todd Carty in an episode of Holby City, and also appeared on That's What I Call Television, along with former colleagues Jane Rossington, Tony . Adams and Paul Henry.
