Connie Dover is an American singer and songwriter, who wrote and performed mainly Celtic and American folk music. Born in Arkansas and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, she began her bluegrass career before joining the Celtic Scartaglen band in the early 1980s. During the 1990s, she began her solo career and released four solo albums since 1991 Somebody, all on the Taylor Park Music label, with famed Scottish musician Phil Cunningham of Silly Wizard as producer. She completed recording a CD of traditional Christmas carols and Christmas carols with the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, titled The Holly and the Ivy, which was released in 2008. Her broadcast concerts include appearances and feature films on NPR's Weekend Edition, A Prairie Home Companion, The Thistle & Shamrock, Mountain Stage, and E-Town. Connie's work as a writer and composer blossomed with her performing career.
