Jerome Kersey is an American professional basketball player with the National Basketball Association. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Seattle SuperSonics, San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks. Kersey won the NBA championship with Spurs in 1999. Trail Blazers selected Kersey for the second round of the 1984 NBA Draft from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. He was a member of Spurs when they won the 1999 NBA Finals Championship against the New York Knicks. After his competitive career, Kersey worked with his former teammate in Portland and then the Milwaukee Bucks head coach, Terry Porter, as an assistant in 2005. Kersey died of pulmonary embolism of the same period. Caused blood clot at Tualatin's home, Ore in February. 18, 2015.
