Jun Mar S. Fajardo is a Filipino professional basketball player from San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association. He is also known as "The Kraken" for his extraordinary size and ingenuity against big opponents. Born in Compostela, he moved with his parents to Pinamungajan as a child, where he spent most of his youth and adolescence. He played at the Cebu University Webmaster Center at CESAFI and for San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball Federation before being selected as the first to attend the 2012 PBA Draft by Petron Blaze Boosters. Despite his young age, Fajardo showed great potential and was dubbed the future of Filipino basketball by domestic sports analysts. During his rookie season, he played for the national team and won a silver medal at the 2013 FIBA ​​Asian Championship for Gilas Pilipinas.
