Lucas Frost Giolito is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball. He attended Harvard-Westlake School in Studio City, California, and was chosen by the Washington Nationals in the first round of MLB Awards 2012. He made his MLB debut with the Nationals in 2016. His fastpitch was timed up to 100 miles per hour. In 2019, as a member of White Sox, he was named to the MLB All-Star and scored a goalless match in a 4–3 win for the American League. On 25 August 2020, he became the 19th player in White Sox history to pitch a smooth pitch in a 4-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Giolito launched 13 shots in a single step to become the first White Sox player to throw a scorer with 10 or more shots on target.
