Mahbub ul Haq is a Pakistani international development economist, politician and theorist who served as Pakistan's finance minister from April 10, 1985 to January 28, 1986, and then from April 10, 1985 to January 28, 1986. 6 to December 1988. After graduating with a major in economics at the Government College in Lahore, he won a scholarship from Cambridge University for his second degree. He then earned a doctorate from Yale University and undertook postdoctoral research at Harvard Kennedy School.
