Marilyn Ferguson is an American author, editor and speaker known for her 1980 book Underwater Conspiracy, related to the New Age movement. As a founding member of the Society for the Psychology of the Humanities, Ferguson published and edited the highly regarded scientific newsletter on the Brain / Mind Bulletin from 1975 to 1996. In the end, she received several accolades. Institute of Primary Sciences and befriended such influential figures as inventor and theorist Buckminster Fuller, spiritual author Ram Dass, winning chemist, Nobel laureate Ilya Prigogine and billionaire Ted Turner. Ferguson's work also affected Vice President Al Gore, who joined her informal network as a senator and later met her in the White House.
