Mark Eric May is a former professional and academic football player of the United States who served as an attacking striker in the National Football Federation for 13 seasons during the 1980s and 1990s. May played college football for the University of Pittsburgh and won the All-American title. He was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft in 1981 and played professionally for the Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers and Phoenix Cardinals. He was sacked by ESPN on April 28, 2017, after serving in the organization for 16 years.
