He is also the first Egyptians to complete the 7-peak challenge on May 31, 2013, climbing to the highest peak of 7 continents. Samra is one of 40 people known to have completed the “Explorers Grand Slam” challenge, which includes climbing the highest peak of all continents, 7 peaks and skiing at the South Pole and North Pole. Samra was also selected in the Nasa PoSSUM program along with two other Egyptians, Abdelraouf El Waqad and Ahmed Farid.
