Theodore Sharp Ligety is an American alpine ski racer, businessman and twice Olympic gold medalist who co-founded Shred Optics. Ligety won the combined event at the 2006 Olympics in Turin and the giant slalom race at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. He's also a five-time world champion in giant slalom. Ligety won the gold medal in the giant slalom game at the 2011 World Championship. He successfully defended his world title in the colossal 2013 tournament in Schladming, Austria, where he also won the Super G gold medal and the third in the super synthetic class. By October 2015, he had won 25 World Cup titles and 52 times went to the podium of glory. His Olympic gold medal in giant slalom, 24 times GS World Cup, 3 GS World Championship gold medals and 5 World Cup titles make him one of the giant slalom skiers. greatest of all time.
