Alexander Hamilton Stephens è stato un politico americano che ha servito come vicepresidente dell'Unione delle Nazioni dal 1861 al 1865, poi come 50esimo governatore della Georgia dal 1882 fino alla sua morte quell'anno. 1883. Come membro del Partito Democratico, rappresentò la Georgia alla Camera dei Rappresentanti degli Stati Uniti prima di diventare governatore.
