Bill Walton
William Theodore Walton III is een voormalige Amerikaanse basketbalspeler en is een sport- en televisiezender. Hij speelde universiteitsbasketbal voor coaches John Wooden en UCLA Bruins, won drie nationale varsity-prijzen op rij en leidde UCLA naar de NCAA-kampioenschappen in 1972 en 1973 en won een reeks van 88 overwinningen. Nadat hij was geselecteerd als de eerste keuze in de NBA Draft van 1974, leidde Walton de Portland Trail Blazers naar het NBA-kampioenschap in 1977 en won dat seizoen de NBA Finals MVP-prijs. Hij won nog een NBA-titel van de Boston Celtics in 1986. Walton werd in 1993 opgenomen in de Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
