Matlan Marjan is een voormalig profvoetballer uit de staat Sabah, Maleisië. Hij werd geëerd als de man die op 12 juni 1991 2 doelpunten scoorde tegen Engeland voor Maleisië, de enige Maleisiër die dat deed. Hij heeft een jongere broer, Zainizam Marjan, die ook voor Sabah FA en Maleisië heeft gespeeld. Matlan is een Sabahan Bajau uit Kota Belud, Sabah. Hij begon zijn professionele carrière bij de Pres President Cup. Hij maakte zijn M-League debuut in het seizoen 1989 en scoorde 5 goals. In 1990 scoorde hij 8 van de 16 goals van Sabah FA. In 1991 werd Matlan voor het eerst opgeroepen voor het nationale team in een vriendschappelijke wedstrijd tegen Aston Villa. Op 12 juni 1991 maakte hij zijn internationale debuut tegen Engeland, waarmee hij het 35-jarige record van Toni Fritsch markeerde als de laatste nieuwe ploeg die tweemaal scoorde tegen Engeland.
