Adan Canto is an American-Mexican actor and director. He is known for his role as Sunspot in the superhero film X-Men: Days of Future Past 2014. On television, Canto played the role of Paul Torres in the Fox television series The Following, and in 2015 he played the role of AJ Menendez in the popular ABC television series Blood & Oil. Canto plays the real politician Rodrigo Lara Bonilla in the Netflix series Narcos. He is also known for his role as Aaron Shore in the Netflix political drama Designated Survivor with Kiefer Sutherland. Canto wrote and directed the first short film Before Tomorrow in 2014. He is also one of the main characters in the romantic film 2 Hearts. Her short film The Shot won multiple Film Festival awards for Best Short Film Narration of 2020.
