Ayelet Yakira Galena was born with a rare genetic disorder, a congenital hyperkeratosis and is famous for the overwhelming support she attracts, including a spur of the bone marrow. Ayelet is the daughter of Seth Galena and Hindy Poupko, an Orthodox Jewish couple, and lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
