Barry Layne Switzer is a former American football coach and player. He served 16 years as football head coach at the University of Oklahoma and 4 years as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football Federation. He has won three national championships in Oklahoma and led the Cowboys to Super Bowl XXX against Pittsburgh Steelers. He has one of the highest win rates of any college football coach in history and is one of the only three head coaches to win a national college football championship. and the Super Bowl, the others being Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll.
