Dale Hennesy is an American designer and art director. Hennesy is the son of designers and makeup artists at Walt Disney. He began working in film as an illustrator at Twentieth Century Fox, including illustrating works for The King and I and the South Pacific. He won an Academy Award for Best Art Direction for Fantastic Voyage, for which he created the descriptions inside the human body. He was also nominated for his artistic direction in creating futuristic sets for Logan's Run and Annie. He designed a street scene in a million dollar apartment building for Annie, which is later used in numerous films and named Hennesy Street in her honor. Hennesy died suddenly of a heart attack in 1981 during Annie production.
