Aldrin Davis, known as DJ Toomp, is an American record producer, musician and DJ. DJ Toomp began his career in 1985, with Atlanta MC Raheem the Dream, producing Raheem's record of the same name at the age of 16. In the late 1980s, he was the DJ of MC Shy-D and toured with him and the 2 Live Crew, as they performed in various locations across the country with other hip hop artists such as NWA. and Ice-T. After MC Shy-D left Luke Records, Toomp became a DJ for JT Money and Poison Clan. When 2 Live Crew disbanded, he was working on an album with former band member Brother Marquis, called Indecent Exposure, under the nickname 2 Nazty; the cover says he's a member of the Poison clan. In 2006, Toomp teamed up with hip hop veteran Bernard Parks, Jr., to form NZone Entertainment, their own label. DJ Toomp began to gain recognition by teaming up with Southern rapper T.I., also from Atlanta, Georgia.
