Dora de Houghton Carrington, more commonly known as Carrington, is an English painter and decorator, remembered in part for her association with members of the Bloomsbury Group, especially writer Lytton Strachey. Ever since she was an art student, she was known simply by her last name because she considered Dora "vulgar and sentimental". She was not known as much as an artist in her entire life, as she rarely exhibits and does not sign autographs of her work. She worked for a while in Omega and Hogarth Press workshops, designing woodblock paintings.
