François Roland Truffaut is a French director, screenwriter, producer, actor and critic. He is considered to be one of the founders of the Nouvelle Vague in France. During a career spanning more than a quarter of a century, he remains an icon of the French film industry, with more than 25 films. Truffaut's 400 Blows is a showcase of the French New Wave movement and presents four suites, Antoine et Colette, Stolen Kisses, Bed and Board and Love on the Run, from 1958 to 1979. Truffaut's 1973 film Day for Night, It has garnered critical acclaim and several awards, including the BAFTA Award for Best Film and the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
