Frank T. "Skids" Caruso is a Chicago gang and criminal tycoon involved in illegal and fraudulent gambling for the Chicago Outfit crime syndicate in the 1950s. Originally from the Near North area. Side of Chicago, his parents include brothers Joseph, Leo and Bruno Caruso, including brother-in-law First Ward alderman Fred Roti, and son Frank Caruso, Jr. As a young man, Caruso ran alongside the infamous Forty-Two gang, including future gangsters like Sam "Momo" Giancana. Starting in 1935, Caruso has amassed a criminal record with at least 13 arrests for crimes such as grand theft, illegal gambling, and conspiracy. In 1956, after the death of his father-in-law, Bruno Roti, Caruso became the owner of several South Side casinos in Chicago and became the head of the 26th Street / Chinatown "crew". Caruso is now involved in illegal gambling in Chicago's First District. For his part, Caruso operates a legitimate business, Caruso Plumbing, in the Hillside, Illinois suburb of Chicago.
