Frederick Moore Vinson is an American lawyer and Democratic politician. One of the few Americans who served in all three branches of the U.S. government, Vinson served as the U.S. representative from Kentucky between 1924 and 1928, and from 1930 to 1938, as judge. Federal Court of Appeal in US Court. for the DC Circuit from 1938 to 1943, as US Treasury Secretary from 1945 to 1946 and as Chief Justice of the United States from 1946 until his death in 1953. Born in Louisa, Kentucky, he pursued a legal career and served in the United States Army during World War I. After the war, he served as Commonwealth Attorney for the thirty-two judicial districts of Kentucky before winning elections to the US House of Representatives. Represented in 1924. He was defeated for re-election in 1928 but regained his seat in 1930 and served in Congress until 1937. During his term in Parliament he became the late and member of the Missouri Senate, Harry S. Truman .
