Gary Kubiak
Gary Wayne Kubiak is a former American football coach and midfielder. He was head coach of the Houston Texans in the NFL from 2006 to 2013 and the Denver Broncos in 2015 and 2016 before stepping down on January 1, 2017, citing health. Previously, in his coaching career, he was an assistant coach for the Broncos, Texas A&M University and the San Francisco 49ers. He was also offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in 2014. He was assistant head coach and offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 2020. Kubiak played midfielder at Texas A&M University . He was selected for the eighth round of the NFL Draft in 1983 as the Broncos' 197 overall pick, where he played from 1983 to 1991 as a replacement for John Elway. Kubiak played seven Super Bowl games, lost three as a competitor to the Broncos, won three as an assistant coach with the Broncos and 49ers, and won Super Bowl 50 as a coach -Chief of the Broncos.
