George Blanda
George Frederick Blanda is an American midfielder and soccer control expert who has played professionally in the American Football Federation and the National Football Federation. Blanda played 26 professional football seasons, the most in the history of the sport, and had scored more points than anyone in history at the time of retirement. Blanda retired from professional football in August 1976 as the oldest player ever to play at the age of 48. He was one of only two players to play in four different decades, and he hold the record for the extra points earned and the most effort. During his career, he played under leadership coaches Bear Bryant, George Halas, Clem Crowe, Lou Rymkus, Wally Lemm, Pop Ivy, Sammy Baugh, Hugh Taylor and John Madden.
