The artist began his singing career at the age of 7 when he joined the group Turma do Balão Mágico. During his childhood, Groove starred in RecordTV's telenovela Savage and started working as a voice actor. After working in theater as a teenager, the artist took on the character "Gloria Groove" in 2014. Two years later, the drag queen emerged thanks to her appearance on the show Rede Globo Amor e Sexo. Gloria Groove's singer career began a while later with the release of the song "Dona" in January 2016. Following her success, the singer released "Império" and appeared in the song.
