Irving L. Fiske is an American playwright, writer and orator. He worked on the Federal Writers' Project of the Construction Progress Management Agency during the 1930s, corresponded with George Bernard Shaw, writing an article now considered classic, "The Bernard Shaw Debt for William Blake," and translated Hamlet from Shakespeare in modern English. He and his wife Barbara Fiske Calhoun co-founded the Quarry Hill Artistry and Design Center "Hippie Common" on the Fiske family property in Rochester, Vermont.
