She then became host of The Official Chart and co-host of The Official Chart Update with Scott Mills. on BBC Radio 1. She is the first female solo host of the BBC Radio 1 program. In 2016, Jamil moved to the United States. She is known for her role as Tahani Al-Jamil in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. She is also known as the TBS late night game host in The Misery Index and is one of the judges for the Legendary Reality TV Show Contest.
