Jimmy Lafave
Jimmy LaFave is an American folk singer, songwriter and musician. After moving to Stillwater, Oklahoma, LaFave became a Woody Guthrie supporter. He later became a member of the advisory board and a regular performer of the annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. In 1996, LaFave received the Musician of the Year award at the Kerrville Folk Festival and appeared on the TV show Austin City Limits. He has recorded 15 albums and his 2007 release, Cimarron Manifesto, reached No. 1 on the American Music Association's Albums Chart. In 2012, LaFave released a studio album By Distance. LaFave was inducted into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2017 alongside Carl Belew, musician and actor Rodney Lay, the Red Dirt Rangers, David Teegarden, Sr. and singer and harmonica player Jimmy "Junior" Markham.
