She scored the decisive goal in the shootout to win a gold medal for the US team at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games against Canada after her twin sister Monique ended the match near the end. Lamoureux-Davidson also won a silver medal for the US Women's National Ice Hockey Team at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics. Lamoureux played one NCAA hockey season for the University of Minnesota and three for University of North Dakota. She competed for a year with the Women's Professional Hockey Players Association, a workers association advocating for equality in sport, and retired in 2021
