John Robert Wooden is an American basketball player and coach. Nicknamed "The Witch of Westwood," he won 10 National Athletics Association national championships in 12 years as the head coach of UCLA Bruins, including a record 7 consecutive match. No other team has won more than four straight wins in college men's or women's Division I basketball. During that time, his teams won the NCAA men's basketball record for 88 consecutive games. Wood has won the prestigious Henry Iba Award seven times as National Coach of the Year and has won the AP Award five times.
