Joseph Andrew Duplantier is a French-American musician best known as the rhythm guitarist and vocalist of metal band Gojira. He is also the former bassist of Cavalera Conspiracy, to which he was invited by Max Cavalera.

About Joseph Duplantier
Known both as the former bassist for Cavalera Conspiracy and as the frontman for the French metal band Gojira. Gojira has released half a dozen successful albums since their debut in 2001.
Before Fame
He and his brother wrote their first song, "Victim," in 1996. Their band was originally called Godzilla. He and his brother also formed the now-defunct band Empalot. in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Achievement
He owns the New York-based recording studio Silver Cord Studio.
Family Life
His brother, Mario, is the drummer for Gojira. Native to France, he later settled in New York City with his wife and child.
