About Julia Cameron
An American journalist and author, she is best known for her commercially successful book, The Artist's Way, which was published in 1992. Her other works include The Writing Life, Blessings, and The Vein of Gold.
She graduated from Fordham University and subsequently worked as a journalist for the Washington Post and Rolling Stone magazine.
She taught writing and filmmaking at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies and at The Smithsonian.
Her brief marriage to director Martin Scorsese produced a daughter named Domenica.
She collaborated with her ex-husband, Martin Scorsese, on God's Will, a film based on their marriage and divorce.
