Julie Nixon Eisenhower is an American author, the youngest daughter of Richard Nixon, the 37th President of the United States, and Pat Nixon, the First Lady of the United States, the sister-in-law of Edward F. Cox, the biological aunt of Christopher Nixon Cox and wife of David Eisenhower, grandson of President Eisenhower. Born in Washington, D.C. in 1948, when her father was a senator, Julie and her sister, Patricia Nixon Cox, grew up in the public eye. Her father was elected United States Senator from California at the age of two and Vice President of the United States at the age of four. Her 1968 marriage to David Eisenhower, the nephew of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, is considered an amalgamation of two of America's most famous political families. During the Nixon administration, Julie served as associate editor of the Saturday Evening Post while holding the unofficial title of "First Daughter."
