Benneteau also succeeded in doubles, winning the men's doubles medal at the 2012 London Olympics and the men's doubles title. 2014 Roland Garros together with French colleague Édouard Roger-Vasselin, became the top French team to win the men's doubles discipline for 30 years. He peaked in his doubles career at No. 5 in November 2014. Benneteau plans to retire from professional tennis after the 2018 US Open.
