Dame Marina Sarah Warner is an English novelist, short story writer, historian and mythologist. She is known for her many nonfiction books about feminism and mythology. She has written for numerous publications including The London Review of Books, The New Statesman, Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph and Vogue. She has been a visiting professor, teaching and teaching in faculties of many universities. She resigned her professorship at the Department of Literature, Film and Drama Studies at the University of Essex in 2014, sharply criticizing the move towards 'for-for-profit' universities in the UK. He is, and is currently, Professor of English and Creativity at Birkbeck, University of London. In 2017, she was elected President of the Royal Literature Association, the first time a woman has assumed this role since the RSL was founded in 1820.
