Mark Cerny
Mark Evan Cerny is an American video game designer, programmer, producer and director. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Cerny graduated from University Foundation School and attended UC Berkeley before dropping out to pursue a career in video games. During his early years, he spent time at Atari, Sega, Crystal Dynamics and Universal Interactive Studios before becoming an independent consultant for his own Cerny Games company in 1998. Cerny has since been works regularly with Sony Interactive Entertainment as a consultant, including as the lead designer for hardware for several PlayStation consoles, and has consulted Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games since their inception in the 1990s, as well as other studios owned by Sony. He has also developed a number of games, including the Marble Madness video game and the Knack series, and credits many others for his consulting work.
