Mary Quinn Sullivan, née Mary Josephine Quinn, is an American art teacher and textbook author who is best known as a pioneering collector of modern and contemporary art in Europe. Europe and America and the founding fiduciary of the Museum of Modern Art, opened its space lease in New York City in November 1929. She also leads a small group of clients from Indianapolis, Indiana, who called himself the Gamboliers and, between 1928 and 1934, selected the group's artwork that brought some of the earliest modern and contemporary works to the Institute's collections. Art John Herron, which later became the Indianapolis Art Museum.
