Gordon Stanley "Mickey" Cochrane, nicknamed "Black Mike", is an American professional baseball player, manager and coach. He played in the Major League Baseball as a broad reciever for the Philadelphia Athletics and the Detroit Tigers. Cochrane is considered one of the best catchers in baseball history and a member of the Baseball Fame Hall. Cochrane was born in Massachusetts and is a versatile athlete athlete at Boston University. The average batted ball during Cochrane's career was the MLB catching record until 2009.
