Michael Bettes is an American television meteorologist and hurricane tracker who currently works for the Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia. He is co-organizer of AMHQ: Morning Headquarters of the United States. He currently hosts Weather Underground TV. Bettes has been an on-camera meteorologist for TWC since 2003 and is also a regular weather agent added to The Today Show. Bettes hosted Abrams & Bettes Beyond the Forecast from 2006 to 2009 and Your Weather Today from 2009 to 2012 until it was relaunched as Morning Rush which he held in 2014 when the show started. Chard was also hosted by Wake Up With Al. Bettes is field correspondent for The Weather Channel and chief meteorologist for the annual cyclone season review, The Great Tornado Hunt. Bettes accompanied the scientists for the coverage of VORTEX2 by TWC.
