Myron Floren was an American musician best known as an accordion artist on The Lawrence Welk Show from 1950 to 1980. Floren rose to fame mainly due to his frequent appearances in television series. Each week Lawrence Welk called him "the happy Norwegian", also by Peter Friello. Floren is highly regarded by Lawrence Welk, who is an accordion player in his own right. Floren acts as Welk's main assistant and second in command. In Floren Accordion Man's autobiography, written with his daughter Randee Floren, he recalls managing the tasks of road management when the group is on the move, including hotel arrangements and other logistical tasks. Prior to his death, he held a number of reruns of The Lawrence Welk Show on PBS.
